Hi There

I started MTBing just over a year ago and about six months ago I got my self and Alpine 160 (Pedro). Now I need to justify it as I am no where near able to use up it full potential.

I am looking for some company to ride with and also some guidance on places to ride.

Had look at your website and think your style of riding would suit me (though I am still learning and need to improve my fitness).

I have just signed up for a years' membership at Aston Hill and already done the XC (the ascent nearly killed me) and the Red Run on its own a few times.

I also travel a few times a year to Israel with Pedro and ride loads of singletracks and some downhill run over there (mostly rock gardens). It is a paradise for mountain biking as nearly every good trail is within 0.5-1.0 hour of Tel Aviv and the MTB community is very large, not to mention the weather which means there are only about 14 days a year where the conditions are not ridable.

Anyways, would love to hear from you and hopefully join you on your coming rides.

Cheers

Yo

Welcome aboard

Ahhh Pedro. Just realised that I have neglected to name some of my bikes - theyby not allowing them to have a soul!!!

I need to put some thought into my bike names this weekend, thanks for the prompt

Apline 160 - looks like you are our kind of rider!

We are off to Cwm Carn next week (Friday) - an opportunity for Pedro to come out to play?

Hey you Evil

Thanks for the welcome. Just let the names come to you.......

Where is Cwm Carn and what kind of trails do you have over there? Is that a weekender?

CwmCarn is in Wales (Newport), and it is an uplift day,
We are going for the DH trails there, and it's a day trip

Check out the videos in the "gallery"

Hey guys

It sounds tempting. Are the Downhill runs like Black Grade, are they doable for the not so experienced?

I'll have to see if I can take a day off on Friday.

There are three runs
-Pink
-Red
-Black

The runs are fine for anyone, as the faster you go, the more technical the run becomes.
All of the runs join together for the bottom section
Its Friday the 18th were going

Hi MeAndPedro - where you are you can get to some great spots by train. Pedal over to Liverpool St and Epping forest is super easy - wicked in the summer and a nice selection of small DH runs. Victoria and Waterloo stations offer easy access to Swinley and to the North Downs - both of which are excellent spots and some challenging terrain for the 160!
