So chelmer still can't build my wheels so I decided to go get my bits back and sell them to claim some money back to put towards these. Image

Halo vapour 35's. Really good price for the weight and width.

Now to sort out the selling of rims, hubs and nipples oh and white forks.

I'll get some all black pikes ;)

The rear suspension was fantastic, the xx work well on the single track but not so great on the mega rocky decents.
Overall it was a very good and by the end of the day I was getting my confidence up.

Fork wise you want these..!! I believe they are "Cube spec'd" versions, have a search on the German sites.. :D

It's so much more rewarding building your own bike than buying one off the shelf especially when it all comes together.

So been a few changes in the last few weeks.

The pike situation was rectified and a new Slackerlizer headset was fitted. the result is a much more confidence inspiring ride and more control over rough terrain. still struggling with the set up from RCT3's on my tranny to the RC's on this.

Then over the weekend the 11speed conversion turned up as i'd litterlary worn away the teeth on the Praxis cassette. I then fitted the Rock Razor, oh my god i hate Shwable tyres, it better be good with the ammount of grief getting it seated on wide rims.

Poxy thing was loose as Fffff. Then I hear other people complain about how tight they are? Once seated it's OK and not losing any air, so that's good.

Back handed compliment.

It rides incredibly well, been out on the trails this morning, not as fast as a 29er though.
Pete, where you working now as I popped in to flitch and it was all closed up?

Fitting new Easton tubeless tape satisfying,
Fitting longer valves satisfying.
Fitting WTB front tyre and lining up, satisfying.
Fitting Schwalbe tyre, loose as feck and a pain to inflate then I find out that one side lines up and the other is way out!!!! Gaaaaaahhhhh! Need a new tyre now. ImageImageImage
