That did just make me laugh on a Sat night ;) I'm planning to head to Singletrack Classic Weekender and it has a Trials section and my bike skills - well, I don't have any so now I'm a little concerned after seeing your crate session!

I thought you did good, but you know it's the always the stacks that make the vids unfortunately!

I had to give up in the end. My back was hurting so I couldnt get it :(

I will get it. Sometime this year!lol

Trials is ace. But I got to a block last year where I couldnt get up onto stuff. I could get off stuff no probs and allmost gave up. But id never ridden with anyone better than me. I hooked up with a guy who is miles better, he showed me what to do. Then last session, it all came together!

The main thing Ive learnt is to concentrate on each obstacle at a time. Forget the gap at 1st, think about getting up onto the thing 1st.

Nice man.
I tried riding a 20 but couldnt get on with the geo. They are so long and the bars are odd!
The chain looks a bit slack?? Or is it just the pic?
The best thing you can do is get a set of maggies on it.

Also, dont get wound up when you cant do stuff. I'd get well wound up at first. I do lots of short sessions now and have progressed massivly in the last few.

Yeh felt a bit odd 2 begin with but jsut been messing around in the garden and its starting 2 feel a little more normal
yup its very slack, still gota sort that out, probably do it when i get a new bb
and already eyeing up a set on pinkbike, jsut gota get the funds for them :( haha, so will be a month or so

the neighbours are having some work done and theres a few palets so might see if i can pinch them for the garden so can do short sessions msot days :)

You can its a doddle i could show you in an afternoon!

I used to ride trials for years. Used to love it, now just its not quite the same. Danny Mac is doing a great job of making it cool again and the whole 24" style makes it much more fun to watch.

Your doing great keep it up! Gap jumps will become second nature if you keep up the practice.

Heres an old vid of me on my first gen Ashton.
