I dont know about everyone else but I have not had one good experience with travellers. The idea of a traveller site next to the bike park will cause nothing but problems and im sure will lead to plenty of police complaints and stuff getting stolen. Most of all this is a forest area that needs to be protected and conserved rather than have wave after wave of travellers destroying the place.

Sign the petition and hopefully we can put a stop to it.

TBH i have lots of experience with them, there's nothing at chicksands they'd be interested in, (apart from maybe the start gate) the only thing i would be worried about is the little shites on the scramblers

Signed... I'll be more worried about them appearing in the carpark waiting for you to go off into the park then nicking whatever gear is left in your car...

The actual track may not be affected but think of the hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of bikes that go through the gates every day. let alone all the cars parked there with tools and stuff in.

Signed - It'll get trashed, just like anything else travellers touch. I hate tarring with the same brush and stereotyping, but I've not seen one travellers site that isn't littered with rubbish. What's worse is the state of the places when they are moved on that the tax payer has to pay for to be cleaned up, including near one of my previous homes. I've no sympathy for them. They're their own worst enemies.

True and that would be a good thing if it wasn't for the fact we end up paying for their treatment because the thieving sponging scum think NHS (or school, water, council services etc etc) is a right, not something normal decent people all contribute to, parasitic wasters the lot of them, filthy grasping drain on society,.

No, I am not keen basically!

I know many of you are Essex based so may already have heard about it but a couple of weeks ago my wife drove no1 daughter down to Southend early on a Sunday morning (8am ish) for a dancing comp and the pikeys had closed the main dual carriage way from m25 to Southend with vans so they could do trotting races!!!. Now there is some horses I'd gladly see in a kebab! And did we see the police arresting them, confiscating their stuff, nope but if you or I did it..........

Straying off topic slightlty, but they used to race the bloody knacker ponies down Fen Road in Cambridge where I used to live. There were speed bumps along the road, but that didn't stop them racing their 4x4's also up and down the road where children were playing. They use to leave the ponies in the garden of the local pub by the river and not give a damn about other people. I know we are straying onto human rights territory when all we want is to ride our bikes, but, these people really are more trouble than they are worth,
