It's a whole lot of fun, easy to ride and fast. Got to be said it's a huge change compared to where I was coming from (90's rigid Diamond Back). Lots to learn & got to make some tweaks to brakes, levers/controls etc but super happy with it

I need to close my eBay account...Image

In my defence it was bought as I have a donor bike with a xsmall frame that is now good for nothing...

At least with this frame somebody might be able to ride it!!!

OK, so it doesn't look this clean anymore. Only had a couple of rides so far but seems alright. Its a Meta HT Trail Essential (the budget one), with a 120mm Raidon air fork. Got a Bird Aeris on order so couldn't justify spending mega bucks on a hardtail, but the idea is to use this for local rides and smoother terrain and use the bigger bike for away days when it comes.

Quite wide bars and short stem (60mm) for standard, and geo feels quite good when you point it down. Went for a large as the top tube is on the short side, but despite being a 19 inch seat tube there is enough standover thanks to the design. 2x9 gears do the job and seem to have a wide enough spread.
Getting cable rub on the top of forks already though, as if the cables are hacksaw blades and gone through the paint! Any kind of tape recommended?

Cheers, ordered some and that BBB carbon skin patch kit as well. And a RaceFace chain pad, although zero chain slap so far.

I ordered one of these mainly because i had too much Rum and i just lost an old faithful Chinese 3 x T6 jobby not because it failled but because i changed the mount to a Hope one and over tighten the screw

So this will be used for when heading DH and my old faithful MJ808 on the bars and my Johnny No5 on my head (solar storm)
