Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a place where I can practise jumps and some downhill sections. I've been doin some enduro races and haven't been comfotable with big drops and jumps. Was wondering if anyone would be willing to spare some time with a newbie and maybe show me places where I could practice, or better spend some time showin me. I have the 27 I September till the 2nd November of so I can do week rides. I'm not a complete novice just some big stuff gives me the spooks. Cheers Gareth.

Hi,

I would suggest to you pop up at Danbury! It's a great place to start and where I did, I should be there this week when I get my new bike and I could show you some places.

Laindon hills has some stuff to practice on. I have been going there for 1 week building it up a bit better because I'm a newbie as well.

Ok cool so Danbury or Laindon. When are you guys gonna be riding there, and what bike do you suggest I use. The one I race on and do most of my riding. It's a lapierre zesty. Or should I get my old kona stinky freeride gig out.
Cheers Gareth

I would suggest the one you race on as then you can get in the right position etc.

I don't know any DH jumps or drops in langdon and I've ridden there lots, but 100% recommend Danbury, just don't go on your own!

Very easy ;) not really meant to ride anywhere apart from the main bridal ways so be very careful. I'd love to offer but I'm unavailable for the next few weeks. Fee guys on here know their way around.

I would be happy to show you Danbury, but I will go there only after I get my new bike that should be delivered by this week/weekend so hopefully I will be there this week/weekend testing it.
