Don't want to put you out too much but if you're leaving from Leytonstone & there's a train station close enough to you that I can get to early enough that could work.

Be careful with the address for woburn.

On the website it says junction 16 but it is not.
Its 13. Search google maps for woburn sands and you'll see.

Goods spot - I just killed the link to that from here as that site is well out of date.

Travel from junction 13 on the Bedford Road, turn left in Woburn at the double mini roundabout into A5130 Woburn Road, either park in the cut in on the left as you start to go up the hill, but if that is full just keep on up the hill and there is a big car park on the crest on the right. From the bottom parking area cross the road and you are straight away into the bottom of the mtb area, if you park in the "proper" parking space it is a really obvious path to follow that brings you out at the top of the main runs. Best way to explore is when you are at the top of the runs just ride around the ridge line looking down int the bowls, there are runs right from the right hand end (hip line) all the way round to the far side (the drop into the main DJ area. The two to warm up with are the hip line, (right hand side) and transfer line ( in the middle) but there are many different ones. I also recommend from the same start point as the hip line there are a few that drop down and especially the 2 -3 ft drop off into a chute that brings you out at the bottom of the hip line.
