Yesterday got a new pair of ztr crest rims but can't fit tyres. Tried with mountain kings II and gave up after spending whole evening. Now I'm trying with bonty mud X tlr (tubeless ready) and still no chance. I've found out some people having the same problems with these rims. Tried putting some soap watrer on the rims but nothing. Did it without inner tube. That means will I have to go tubeless?
Has anyone got cresdt rims here? ANy tips? Thinking of sending them back

I have flows and had same issues, got them on in the end with 3 levers but pinched two tubes doing so, found it was the last 10 inches or so that was just silly tight to fold over rim but managed to get High Rollers and Mud X on both folding tyres but bloody hard work.

theres a video knocking about of someone fitting tyres without levers by pushing tyre down in to bottom or rim, ill try to find it..

here it is

Good vid I'll have to give tyre bumping a go ;-)

I have one wheel which is always a bitch what ever tyre I'm using. I try and get an angle on (I guess similar to what that guy in the clip is doing trying to think about the smallest circumference) ie push the opposite end of the loop of the tyre wire to the last bit you're trying to get on, to the opposite side of the rim to where you're trying to pop it over - so the two 'hoops' are at an angle to each rather than lying exactly on top of each other... if that makes any sense? Good luck!

I must admit had i known how hard it would be i may have chosen a different rim, having to fix a puncture out on a muddy trail wont be funny at all...

my other rims the tyres just flop on and off

Seen on BR same kind of thing sticking under stomach working hands round sides. My nics don't have much slack found shout at tyre helps.

Would it possible stretch? stand with feet in and pull up with hands.

Btw, you should set them up tubeless, as they sound like they'll seal no worries
