I need some new tyres for the hardtail and so wondered what you guys use.

Looking at 2.2 or smaller to be used all year round for trail riding.

Dont need any big 2.5 DH tyres as I have plenty of them already.

Panaracer Rampage 2.3

Had them on a number of bikes, roll fast but hold up well in the wet. Never had to change them based on conditions (bone dry Danbury ripping vs slopping about in wet epping)

Maxxis all the way!

2.35 HighRoller on the front
2.1 Advantage the back.

V fast and loads of grip.

I use Maxxis Minnion 2.5 Front and High Roller 2.35 rear single ply versions for trail and DH double ply for the rough stuff. The 2.35 come up pretty small, probably closer to 2" in reality.

Gone for a pair of 2.2 specialized control captains. Supposed to roll well, have dual compound and come up quite big. Made by the same guys who make maxxis tyres so quality should be good. Also come with four spare tubes!
