Think I might be sending the Recon lid back as looks like only marginally more rear coverage than my current Bell Sequence.
SubGear seems good though, the padding is more substantial than the description / padding suggests.

I think some upper body training is called for this year.. Both to withstand knocks and to fit stuff better ;)
The arms of the medium top feel like I need a small but I'd never get a small on, even with a fully operational shoulder ;)

It will help if you have some muscle to take the knocks

As soon as I've sorted this shoulder out I'll be on the case. :)

I bought a Recon in the sale for XC thinking by its shape that it would have more coverage on back of my head than my Bell Sequence but it doesn't so back it goes.

Yeah, was gonna ask if I could 'take a look at your helmet' next time we meet ;)

Mark's Giro 'Feature' seemed good but once I adjusted the fit to stop it 'rocking' then I get the pinch on forehead. Damn shape of my head, always hard to find lids that fit comfy. Typically, the Recon fit great but waste of money if no extra protection achieved.

Bought body armour yesterday too though, the Brand X that CRC sell but for just over half the price :)
