I have done one at Pottors Bar and will be doing one tomorrow in Brighton. You basical turn up, registor (£12 on line or £15 on the day), get a few freebees of energy bars and map, timing sensor, set off when you want in 10 min intervals and ride either 15, 25, or 32 miles. Everything is sign posted (although i did get lost lol) and you end up back at where you started. Able to clean down bike before packing up. Potters Bar was a 70/30ish mix of off road (single track, bridgle ways, wood trails and mud roads) and coutry lanes. The fact i'm doing it again says it all, good way of exploring an area that pottentaly you would not of gone to on your own.
