It's not even xc speak, it's just that im given road work to do with offroad work so I get my speed/cadence up, so I just said 'fast road' - basically it means no poodling on the roads between the bridleways ;)

(and I suppose I should add that as I am a bike Nump-T I wouldn't know what XC speak was anyway! )

I went Wormley/Brickendon, Wormley isn't that bad at all, across the road I managed to find some really boggy trails. I must have been on the boring trails because I didn't see that many people - then again, maybe I was out too early. Had some really pathetic low speed fcuk ups but apart from that and getting lost on the way home it was ok, did just under 40km. I got in just as the rain started ;-)

You usualy find the bikers doing loops of the fire roads round hte edge of bencroft woods as theres some fun as hills there that you can just bomb down, or in broxborune woods as if u explore a bit theres some pretty fun singletrack, the wromley parts are a bit on the flat side, but there is a fun river at the bottom of a small valley 2 ride through, and hte rope swing over its pretty fun aswell ;)

A good ride all in all, went North led by Paul which was largely nice and dry. A fair return after 10 months off the bike and it appears my road biking has been keeping me fitter then I thought.

Was a bit sketchy to start with but much more confident by the end, also nice to meet some new (to me) faces...Tim and Alan.

Cheers
Rich

Great ride Sunday - Twiggy, Rich, Tim, and as Rich said it was great conditions in the main, just some normal boggy bits to contend with otherwise some realy nice flow in places.

Seems some work has been going on near that North quite rooty descent bit that leads down to bottom of path (where you can flow onto the other side of the path for some great routes, but uphill from there!), and you can bypass the roots if you want. Nice option in the wet.

Ninja - No worries fella , next time.

Karve - What suspension is that Pram running, you tweaked it yet

Had a wicked dry Danbury session with Chris (i think!). Taken the plunge and put the Highrollers back on, but I'm impressed with how the Swampthings ran in the dry!
