The forecast is currently good, not that means much :lolno: .... tbh it's going to have to be pretty horrendous to stop me riding after missing last weekend so....

10:00am at Bury Rd car park. http://goo.gl/maps/BFzFT

The car park linked looks a bit different now as it's in two halves now... rough part and a tarmac part. Either part is fine as you can see one from the other.

I'll be in a blue VW Transporter.

All welcome :)

I may not be able to make it this week. Ive got visitors coming to stay from Cyprus so it would be rude of me to go for a bike ride and not go out with them and the rest of the family.

Should be there, so far no work. Was in epping yesterday to test 1x9 on HT. Well, trail conditions are really bad at the moment, have to push few hills as 32t front and 36t at the back wasn't enough (Weak legs) :lolno:

Yes, I recently went 1x9 with a 33T Surly front ring. Found the going hard with a 32 on the back, so just fitted a 12-36... but I have just ordered a new 22T for the front as I think I'll have to go back to a double front for long days out!

@bugeye, yeah i will stick to 32/36, just have to train harder. And I think if anyone is used to 1x9 i will have a hard time to keep up. On top of that i swap spd's to flats and i basically have no flow whatsoever. Will be going back to spd's as my left knee hurts for some reason, probably different muscles being used. Oh and bike quality makes massive difference. So respect to all of u who run HT,s.... I was so slow compare to full suss....

You guys should all be grateful, im stuck with a 1 x 8 with 32 upfront because of the budget i had when i built my bike  Its not too bad, just a real killer on some hills.

How are you getting on with the Avalanche Pro frame? Im considering an Avalanche as they get really good reviews in terms of the frame and im a big GT fan, loved riding every one ive had.

Im saving up for a new frame at the moment as ive decided the Chucker just isnt for me anymore as all i do is XC with it. I really want a Zaskar frame, dont care what year haha.

Lovely set-up, Bugeye.

I'm trying to figure out how to upload a pic so I can post my recently tarted up 2006 Kona steel HT.
I'm depressed about taking it out in the rain... it's so shiny!! lol

Tolga... have a look at On One's Inbred or Scandal... xc version of my 456. They do a version with single speed drop outs that would be spot on for you. The less gears for you the better as far as I'm concerned, anything to slow you down ;)

Cheers UltraHound... only had a quick blast around Redbridge with it but I'm liking it so far :)

To post an image you have to upload it to a hosting site like photobucket and link the picture from there.
