You can join Shelfside and I on a 22 mile MTB charity ride starting from Billericay. My son and his Piglet is coming so it wont be pacey but you can take off with Shelfside we my pace is slow.

Nothing challenging I guess but its an option if everyone else is away.

Hey Adam.... Thinking about Epping or Cyclopark in Kent.... could be tempted over to Danbury if there is coffee and cake involved ;)

We'll skip the cake in recognition of the good work that you are doing for charity

* This may not be true.

Please dont Bugeye. The cake is the reason you are there. I am sure there will be bacon at the charity event, its big apparently.

I'll ride up to the charity event tomorrow. Only take me ten minutes to get there. Is there a sign up and fee or is it just turn up and ride?

I would do danbury but it's getting there. No car this weekend

Haha, join the club mate.

Hunter, I will be on an all white 29er and my 10yr old son on an orange Ragley Piglet. Say hello when you fly past us. ;-)

I think you make the payment upon registration.

How was the race whytey?
I missed the race due to fixing an annoying creak in the linkages before riding.
I got to lake meadows about 11 and went for a ride around billericay then chilled out at the lake again for a couple hours. Great turnout , what s gorgeous day to!

It was good but it was not made clear that there were two 20mile rides, one on road (sign posted) and one off road ((guided). They announced that all riders can get started when ready, so we did and followed the 20mile ride signs. few miles on, still on tarmac. I soon realised something was not right but at least my 10yr old was still pedaling. When we got back I asked about the MTB ride, they said it was at 9.30 on the dot and only with a guide - not signage!! Good to know I said, where do we start??

I think 20 miles off road the little one would have struggled with the pace so ending up on the road was not a bad thing (I cant believe I said this!!). I would have joined the cake brigade at Danbury but my son needed a run on his new bike.
