Hi, the Stort river isn’t a bad ride. Im sure it’s all doable on a cx bike too. Have you tried that? I don’t tend to ride local that much and I’m not too upto speed on the capabilities of cx bikes so can’t really suggest much else. There is some nice countryside around the hadhams and Farnham areas though and the flitch way headed towards Braintree from start hill isn’t too bad either.
