We are pretty much newbies to Epping too, and don't the routes that well so would have no idea how to get from chingford to high beech sorry.

Click on the Epping tab here http://www.essexhertsmtb.co.uk/riding_spots.php to get a detailed view on where carls is. Sorry there is no one with a bit of trail knowledge out tomorrow - we are either injured or heading to the alps. Enjoy exploring and let us know what the conditions are like :)
