I think the pump track at baddow is great for fitness. Last year I could only do one circuit before I needed a break! i've been taking my son there for a few sessions and I really think this has helped improve my riding when going elsewhere. Pumping the outside circuit really takes it out of you arms and legs. I like the sound of the powerball and i think a set of strength grips http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007YJ42U4/r ... wo=&hvqmt= would help prepare for lots of dh braking.

Now that's what I'm liking, it's right next to the little ones new school when we move.
Sounds good to break things up a bit.

Lol problem with that Chris, like you I'm scared of heights and get vertigo on anything over a chairs height!
probably the cause of my jumping fear

I'd love to do rock climbing but don't really know much about it, when is Javi back? There's going to be a small BMX track built just outside my village (Rayne) this year, hopefully March time and hopefully it won't be a let down so might be able to get a bit of time on that. I'd like to get my overall fitness up as well, just have to ride further and longer but never seem to have the time.

See some postings on Javi' s FB page earlier on in week... think he's worn his finger tips all away, doing all the bouldering he's done....

worth looking into, vertigo is a just a general name for the uneasieness of heights and caused by problems in the ear.
Tony diagnosed me as Acrophobic on my first skills lesson.

More info on the difference here,

Was curious if there was a cure, so far tried sky diving and gap jumps :)

anyway, back on topic, have you tried drinking beer from a very heavy pint glass or attaching a dumbbell to an existing beer container?
