Well I had been holding off changing the chain and block for the last six months, so I've now changed it, but you're right and I've ordered a couple to just stick in my rucksack.

Rode Thorndon last night,
Some nice dry lines mixed with very deep wheel stopping mud.
Soon to be all mud again if the weather men are to be believed?

Was out on Thursday evening and it was pretty crap on the Warley side, did not have the time to go to the main part in Thorndon as I got a puncture on back wheel and could not be bothered fixing it. Bloody rain!!

Danbury was a little soft in places, especially the 'new' builds so tried to avoid them as much as poss other than that it was as fun as always, the bottom of the runs is boggy and wet.

Eppings dried slightly in the last few days but has started to churn up in places where water has been. Still lots of surface water about and no flow. roll on summer ;)

Broxbourne was fast today in most places if you pushed hard through the mud as its pretty solid underneath.

The south has dried a bit particuarly on the open trails, under the trees its still messy though much less surface water. Still some gloopy patches and puddles in the dips, bottom of mounds and greasy under the cover of trees.
