8-) Photos

No ticket No problem. I should had a look in the week as I imagine fencing setout miles away.

Closing ceremony was dull and long winded.

Your pictures put mine to shame Jon, but we had a great time, especially in the Peterboat after!

  Hi Essex Guys ,you made a great job since i have been in England.
Fantastic Pictures great reports,It seems to be a good memory which reminds me of a great time in England

6 days Aussie weather ,especially in Southend with all the palmtrees which were growing up in the botanic garden.
But unfortunately there wasn`t any Olympic feeling in down town.No Olympic Flags.just a funfair ,,and in the Royal Shopping Street,
It seemed like a fashion show would have taken place as i saw so many different kind of people walking around.
The russian team stayed there.and swiss team stayed next to the contest.
actually ,i espected more Olympic teams and supporters
Old Leigh on sea has been a great Party mile with all the tasty sea food .
I walked 4 hours all around the Event .Whow great tracks for downhiller..

This is a picture from the top of the castle. It was a good view to rock garden. The fence didn`t cover the view to rock garden

Image

On friday i saw the only foreign bike team at the Leigh on sea station

This egde was the nearest point to see something without a ticket.

Well my journey started in Harwich down to Brightlingsea---Mersea---Maldon---Burnham on Crouch---Southend

Corrinham--Dartford---Thames to Woolwhich-----Greenwich and London.

London great stuff for Olympic feeling, everybody was in a good mood. Besides it´s good for cycling.
We saw the marathon final.public viewing in Hyde Park ,and all the chickens that tried to walk in their
High Heels.

Out of London we ride along the fantastic channel to Lee Valley.,than we got up right to EPPING.
Epping forest is a great place for mountainbiking. It`s a shame just for crossing..
After Epping we took the way up to Braintree were we found the only quite roads from the whole journey to enjoy cycling..

In BRAINTREE i contacted the Cycle Shop Uk. because of my problem to cover our two Bikes for our flight back
home.
Fortunately the friendly staff in the shop could help us to solve this problem.THANKS ANYWAY ..

Now the show is over and at the moment i`m still so involved in your hospitaly.
You should be proud of your country guys.

@unityjon :We were been at the Peterboat (Rock the boat festival)There is the best scene.

Image

Did you see any German or Netherland Fan Group on the contest.
I think 70% of the visiters were coming from Scandinavia.

Aha..looks interesting, although I'm too unfit to start doing complete laps of the track !

Whilst this is a good idea, its a bit strange that a private enterprise can make a profit (and exclusive use) of what I thought was suppossed to be an area for public use, and we still dont know what changes will be made to it.

I think training wise I need to visit something more like UK Bike Skills to get jump/air/confidence training. But the Hadleigh track will be good for people who want general/fitness training, comparing it to black runs on the website is a bit OTT though.
