If my experience of a day with Tony was anything to go by he really is an excellent instructor :)

I don't think he splits the groups into basic... advanced etc. On the day I did there was a real mix of ability, from me ( at the bottom ;) ) through to very competent advanced riders.

We all rode pretty much the same things, with some options on the size of jumps/drop offs, and he would give feed back to each person based on their ability. So I got lots of 'outside leg down & look up' :D . More advanced people got different feed back and seemed just as happy as I was :)

I don't want to sound like some sort of advert but he really does have an uncanny ability not only to look at your riding and know what is wrong but he can go on an communicate it to you in a way that you can understand... very impressive.

Sounds brilliant, I'm not as confident as I once was due to less riding.I've not ridden outside of Essex bar msg in almost a decade. I'm sure a day with him will get me back on track :)

Tom Dowie is the way to go!! http://www.tomdowie.com/coaching/

Get a one on one session, then the focus can be solely on you!!

His brilliant patient instructor, who will greatly improve your riding ability in just one session, plus he has serious skills on a bike too.

I was going on the info on his website. I can ride a bike and ive ridden some of the simpler red trail centres but I would probably struggle around one of the welsh trails so would grade myself as blue and would focus on the single track rather than jumps and drops,.

^ I think I'm in the same position. I've ridden a lot of Wales years ago cwm carn had no Cwm down although. I would ride any of them but not necessarily flow anymore.
