After Cedric's crash there is a lot of buzz about first aid training I'm first aid trained and general have a kit in my pack. I have dealt with a chainsaw accident and a fatal Rta.(no fear of the red stuff) I also work in an EBD school so deal with asthma and fight and missile(chair throwing) injuries regularly. I'm far from a paramedic though and not good at TLC first aid it's in conflict with my sense of humour. Just wondered if any other riders are first aid happy |

I'm a trained First responder (used to do the local area near where I live) Cedric's was a nasty freak accident and he could have died quickly if not for his mate's and his mates Knee.... applying pressure when needed.. (You have to see the film to know what I mean) All part of the trail kit of extra bits to take... it can happen to anyone anytime.... |

I know basic first aid (done some with work as part of confined space reuse team and did a st john thing with Evan off here) but looking at what happened with Cedric, i would of panicked like a gooden. Defiantly a bit gory video but worth watching, if it is there to show even the professionals can get it wrong and how fragile us humans are. |

I'm a 4 day trained first aider, always carry a first aid kit when out riding, only used my training once over Epping when a chap came off & cut & grazed his leg fairly bad.So it does come in handy to be trained. Cheers Shelfside |

Dont think an elastoplast and savlon be much good for that kind of injury |

Try F.I.T. (FIRST INTERVENTION TRAINING) down coryton, that how I used for works training or just contact st johns and see what they can do as I know they do training for companies. |
