I'll do most things myself now. Plenty of YouTube videos and other helpful things on the web to help aswell. Also there's piece of mind your not being ripped off, I'm know there are a lot of great shops out there but I know if something's not working right then it's down to me. |

Some things were like black magic to me, but over a few decades everything is doable only thing i havent tried yet is building my own wheels, but thats more time than anything else |

Two things that inspire confidence in DIY spannering are a torque wrench and YouTube/forums. With these things anything is achievable (providing you have the right tools in the first place!) |

I'm a newbie to this MTB lark and was gifted a 98 KHS Alite 1000 at Xmas. I have found that rebuilding a bike is the most addictive thing known to man. I'm rebuilding more than riding!!!!! Although I may hit a trail in the rain tonight! |
