I remember other people on here asking about the subject in the past, I've just had my flat insurance up for renewal and finally added both bikes (forgot to do it last year when renewing). For the flat and the two bikes listed on it, it was £220! and they would be willing to cover up to £10,000 for such items (thinking something carbon and V10 related here (meta list as £3500 and stache as £1500). When you look at just bike insurance prices they are normally over £100 any way so I think pretty good valve. H.J.Pook insurance brokers 01621892121 Is just for contents insurance as the flats are insured as part of the building maintenance but even so... |

My contents insurance was with Barclays, taken out before I got into MTB. I only had £500 bike cover in the policy for 4 kids bikes kept in the shed. September 2014 my shed goes up in flames with 8 bikes in it (incl my 10mth old MTB, BMXs, son's Ragley Piglet) and Barclays paid up in full for all bikes, as long as receipts were provided. Even Ebay printouts were accepted. I am sure the renewal quote will be higher but I am so grateful of them I don't think i will change providers. I mean, I was only paying £15pm!! |
