Who has one?

I'm looking into getting one, specifically the Spesh CRUX SPORT E5 EVO 2015

Why?

The guys I ride with have them and I can't keep up on the MTB.
The routes we ride are suited to cyclo cross or mtb but definitely not race bikes.

The reason I ask is because a Hybrid with decent MTB credentials is sometimes a better idea, more of a rigid MTB.

I was looking at one of these in Evans the other day thought it would make a good ride everywhere bike http://www.evanscycles.com/products/pin ... e-ec071283.

Not a lot of money either.

Yeah, I was looking at similar today in Evans.

I really fancy the Spesh Crux though.

I'm a beginner on cross bikes. 11 months ago I bought a All City Nature Boy single speed. It's very strong, but not the fastest. Used mainly for commuting. If I were going to use it more for off road I'd change the front ring for something smaller

Have a Planet X Uncle John and love it for its versatility. I use two wheel sets running 25mm tyres for road/commuter use, switch to 45mm rear and 1.8" 29er mud tyre on the front for winter off-road riding.

Gears: Front ring - road compact 50/34 - Rear 12/30. So lots of range and good for all but the steepest climbs. (where you can get off and run faster)

Spech Cruz looks nice, but I'd check what tyre clearance you have on that one
