Thinking about a long weekend in Morzine. Looking to take advantage of the uplifts and try out some downhill. I'm a complete novice, but from what I have read, Morzine offers routes for all abilities.

Yea its a great place to start mate. My first DH trip was to Morzine.

As a beginner Morzine and les gets offer lots of stuff and offer the ability to explore out to the rest of the PDS once ur confident. I cant recommend it enough!

Many of us have been, I go most years, it's pretty amazing but you'll find a long weekend may not be long enough plus most chalets will offer prices for a week. Amazing number of trails there from fun to mental !, prices vary depending on where you stay, the specialist biking places r a bit more pricey but if you can self cater or eat out at cheaper places you can save a lot. Make sure your bike is set up wheel before you go, the runs can eat brake pads in days and you'll want a good suspension set up to soak up the braking bumps. There is good forum on pinkbike for hints n tips.

Hi all,
New here just found the site. looks good. The wife and I are off to Les Gets in mid September for a week, driving over with her specialised rock hopper pro and my new canondale SL1 29 hardtail. Looking forward to it but not sure what to expect but should be some good adventures, wife is no expert so cant go blasting off!! Any recommendations on where to ride etc
