Hahah!! I watched it last year. Very funny, indeed!

I went for David, from dcrwheels, in the end. Haven't got the wheel back yet. He said LB rims are a very good choice. Read also good reviews for Derby rims.
I thought carbon rims, being stiffer, would do more harm to my wrists on rigid forks but he said carbon absorbs trail buzz, same as bars (yes, I need carbon bars...) Time shall tell.

HTR 550...for what I've read, not only fitness and mental strength is important. I need good planning and preparation and experience in multi days bikepacking, which I don't have.

Carbon bars definitely smooth out the small vibrations. I went for Easton EC70 and EC90s. Got good cheap deals on eBay.
Having done some carbon laminating (boat building) in the past I know that both flex and stiffness can be designed into carbon structures, dependent on what you need where. I assume you're looking a carbon rigid fork?

Regards multi day adventures you may find some useful tips by checking out a chap called Sean Conway. He does some crazy long distance stuff.
