I was doing really fine but a 3 hour puncture delay in the Fisherfield 4th day plus a rear hub failure on the easy canal route from Fort Augustus to Fort William nearly killed me and I thought about scratching. Limping with swollen ankles for hours to Alpine cycles near Fort William and fixed the problem. Tendons were not used to hiking steep for long pushing a bike.

This is truly an epic race/event visiting remote areas of the Highlands. Top view before the downhill to Carnmore bothy was breathtaking. Rivals anywhere in the world. Nasty weather conditions were key this year and still half the group have finished. We were very well prepared in general.
I have to buy bin bags as waterproof vest and skull cap. Dunno what I looked like hahaha!

When I get hold of a keyboard and load the route I'll do a proper write up.
