I'm t thinking of getting in on the fatbike waggon.
Been looking at the Norco Sasquatch or Specialised Fat boy.

Favor the Norco as I already have a Sight killer b (biased)

How many peeps own a fatty on here, I know I've seen one other two on Christmas or epping rides.

What do people generally think
Good fun or too big heavy and slow.
It'seems not about speed it's about getting to where others can't.

Am thinking it will be a summer fun bike and Winter go anywhere through anything trail bike.

What fatty have you got??
What sort of monies are you looking for???

Went to the specialised store in Chelmsford today, they have the fatboy & Fatboy expert in stock.
Didn't test ride either (no passport) will be going back Wednesday or Thursday for a test ride.

Also going to Evans Monday to book a test ride on the Norco Sasquatch.

Thanks very much VW, but I'll pass on the on one not what I'm looking for.

Have been to Evans today and booked a test ride.
The Norco Sasquatch fatty is at the warehouse, so hopefully Wednesday will be ride day. :high5:

Then will try the Specialised Fatboy.

Afraid there was no ride on the Norco fat bike   , problem with the front derailleur.
Did get to feast my eyes on it & swing a leg over. :D :D

Evans are going to fix it, so hopefully sometime next week.
Will have to wait to see how this pans out.

Just round Lakeside area.
May be up and long the foot path that sort of follows the railway line.

Interesting read Matt, I do recall reading it when you first posted that. Had forgotten all about it.

Will try and get some dirt track in somehow on my test rid next week.
It doesn't look like there's any kind of time limit on Evans Web page regarding test rides.
may be I could have the Norco on permanent test :o  8-)

Had my test ride today, round lakeside area.
It's a different ride feeling, being used to full sus.
A bit too much air pressure in the tyres, way too much bounce from the BIG tyres  let some air out :!:

So I now have 2 Norco's to chose from.

And just to show the size difference in tyres.

Top one is my sight with 2.3" hans dampf
Bottom is the sasquatch with 4.5" Vee snowshoe

A few adjustments need to be completed to get it set up right for me.
Will do this over the next few days or so.
Hoping to get out on Sunday somewhere.

Nice one!
Epping would be an awesome day out in the dry. Danbury is also good but the hills take some getting used to.
When you decide let me know and we'll be fat together.
May have to get in touch with lester
