Evening

Can anyone recommend a MTB skills course/training? Looking at a single day covering berms, drop offs, small jumps etc, ideally not too far from Essex but happy to travel 2 hours ish.

Thanks

Jay

I might as well give a third vote for jedi, though i have not been plenty of friends have. I did do hadleigh one ages ago (before it was open) and while it was good at a very starter level it did not progress enough for larger and faster features

I was thinking of this too, so I've booked to see Tom for 2 hours at Chicksands a week Monday.

If he can teach this old dog to jump properly he can teach anyone!

I'll let you know my thoughts after.

I saw Tom last week. I really enjoyed it.

I'm very new to MTB and wanted to work on jumping. Tom took me down the Chicksands 4X to see what basics I had and then tailored our 2 hour session to that.

Tom was relaxed and gave constant feedback and broke things down well. He made sure you only needed to concentrate on one thing at a time and varied what you were doing.

I rode yesterday at Danbury and I felt so much more confident - I wasn't perfecting the technique all the time, but just knowing what I should be doing was a great help.

I'd thoroughly recommend Tom if you can get over to Chicksands.

I did a 4 - 1 session with Tony a couple of weeks ago. Better than any ninety quid I've ever spent bike parts, it was great. He's very good at sorting out your bad habits and progressing your jumping etc at a level you're comfortable with.
