This is just a thought. Riding epping yesterday as we did with 15 riders, putting names to faces and remembering them for me is almost impossible.  has the idea of a members page, accessible only after login, where those who whish to, could post a profile picture and a few details, ever been suggested?  Thoughts anyone. |

I'm hoping after a few rides it'll start sinking in. There were a lot of faces yesterday and I didn't get a chance to meet everyone. |

If people wanted to do this they could just change there display picture, and any extra info they can put in there signature box Theres no point making it only viewable to member as anyone can become a member so there's no point to making it so private Well that's just my opinion

Yea i agree with Brad on this one... everyone has a profile page which they can fill with loads of stuff including links to facebook etc plus an avatar... all behind login.. adding another option for a pic would start to move it away from trying to keep it as simple as it can be. You would end up with an avatar pic / real pic / forum name / real name If you ride with people a couple of times you tend to get to know them.... its just a case of not expecting people to rememebr ur name / face even after a few rides. It can all be bit to take in especially when we are all togged up in bike gear! I have no probs in people calling me karve when on rides / forgetting who I am.. as long as were ripping up some sweet trails! PS - site suggestions are always welcome... love to hear feedback and find out what people want, even if I cant / wont do it  keep it coming. Its all food for thought.

When we get the Herts Essex Jerseys/Tops we could have forum names across shoulders and real names on the chest somewhere (much smaller writing of course). |

I don't see the point of this idea, like karve said, you get to know the person after the first ride or so. Personally, it's not that hard to say to someone, "remind me of your name again" You should be too busy riding to have to worry about making sure you know someone's name If people start putting There info on their tops, it will start getting out of hand and they will have name, age, hair color, favourite food, bank details etc Just my opinion. |
