Just got the Memory Map App for i phone.

looks great on first impressions. the main plus point is you can zoom in to the base map (road map comes loaded) and when it gets to 1:25000 it asks if you would like to 'activate map'. the app comes with some 'free' sqm of mapping and this allows you to download various detailed maps of the area, i have chosen 1:25000 explorer, with detailed footpaths ect.

You can also upload GPX routs to your handset and follow the route like we did for the London to Brighton ride. (i have uploaded this file and it views fine) you upload via wifi through a browser!!! Amazing!


so does anyone have any GPX routes for the dalby forest or routs around chelmsford / danbury?

Have it on my iphone as well.. Pretty good for a free app. It allows you a certain amount of free data and maximum area to load. Comes in handy when going out and looking for a way back home ;-)
