There are so many local rides going on in the XC section :thumbup: (almost 1 ride a day this month!) that some of the away days, events and race threads which have a bit more of a long burn time get lost and washed down the board. So ive dumped those out into another section. Its for anything which is XC but a bit further afield ... i.e. roughly not Essex Hertfordshire or London.

I can always merge it back in, if the feedback is that it was fine as it was. But I think it makes the board cleaner and easier to track.

Would be good idea for a calendar to place events on if possible in here..

Is he’s using tapatalk? It’s a tapatalk bug I think as this post spans forums and the tapatalk depends on the post having a unique forum ID.

Calendar is an excellent suggestion and I have looked into it in quite a bit of detail already. However I haven’t found anything which would run off the forum automatically and covering all the use cases is a nightmare!

Something we started doing on BR was a google calender, that your smart phones can sync with. So invitations get sent out etc for rides, so you get reminders. but thats not so much a proplem here. :whistle:

I like the split BTW

Yes, that sounds right.

Im sure it would be on here already if you'd found an easy solution.

Pen and paper calender FTW, not reliant on computers, gadgets, web access, clouds and tree cover stopping signal or battery failing after an hour. :)

Google Calendar might work. It has infinite options with the API.

I also fancy the idea of having a calendar. There are loads of events I don't want to miss.

Id post in posting guidelines but its locked.

with the date format, its easier to write the month as it can be only 3 letters, jan, jun, aug etc

things like 03/02/2012 or 02/03/2012 arent that obvious especially before 12th of each month,

I like it buuuuuuuuuut, not being from Essex, I wouln't know if Danbury etc is an 'away' ride or not....
