After all the jumping about we do on bikes, the biggest risk is still some idiot in a car.

I managed to spend a week in Morzine injury free but some frenchie car driver managed to knock me off whiklst riding to the ski lift !..lucky I had all my pads on.

Was a program on BBC One last night covering various points of view > http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... ins_Roads/, was very interesting, the mother of a girl killed was very moving, she forced a company to make major changes to their vehicles (cement mixers) which has improved their safety record.

Very sad to be reading this. Read about your friend this morning decoxx. The Times are also campaigning for more to be done as they have an employee who was knocked down last year is still in a coma.
Nearly got knocked over myself yesterday due to drivers jumping lights, really pissed me off though as the chap who did it was a driving instructor driving his instructor car! I only ride a short distance on the road through Braintree, I don't envy those who have to commute in paces like London.
