Post subject: | Medi tags or medi cards |
Ok all, after a hospital scare on Friday night with my daughter. She had a severe allergic reaction to some sickness pills she was taking... not something i want to go through again. So the reason I'm posting it here is, i carry a sort of emergency card with details on, phone numbers etc. As she has to now carry a medi card with these details on and medical stuff etc. I have seen a few places that do the cards, i'v even got a template to create your own.. but what I'm also after, is i have seen the barcodes type stickers but cant find the places that do them. As we can stick them onto her phone, or we could onto our bikes... Any ideas....... links etc... |

You can consider NFC tags/stickers as well - www.rapidnfc.com |

www.goqr.me or something like that is what you might be after. Most smart phones can read them with a barcode app. Create the qr and then get them printed. |

Hi all, In relation to your queries have you considered looking at the STARTT card from my company, Bespoke Medical Training Ltd. I'm a motorbike paramedic by trade and a mountain bike enthusiast Please have a look at http://www.starttcard.co.uk the card costs £6.50 and can come with either a lanyard and protective case or a neoprene armband. We do group discounts as well. I don't believe in hard selling, please have a look and if you have any questions please ask. P.s. its a lifetime warranty so if your details change etc just message me and a new one will be sent out to you. We also do specific medic courses for mountain bikers as well. Please visit www.bespoke-mt.co.uk and click on the mountain bike image. Once again, I'm not here to sell anything just to make you aware of how we can help. We are supported by the Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance and over 25% of the monies of the STARTT card go directly to them. All the best and happy and safe riding. Ian |

Call me cynical but it's strange how your first post is advertising something. This site is very quick to be picked up by Google so I assume you found us via that. Anyway, the card is a good idea but a little expensive at just under £5 after the air ambulance donation (good idea!), but if it save a life then t value for money! I've also seem the wrist bands with a similar thing to your cards on them, maybe you could look at doing them as well. Might be a little easier to carry around. |

Eccles I got the link from a friend who is on here. I don't do the hard sell. I just responded to the thread that is all. We are looking at the wrist band idea as well but if medical details change with time then there would be associated costs involved and I want to keep it as cheap as possible. Apologies if it came across as a selling technique it wasn't intended that way. |

No problem. We've had it before though. 1 post and they then disappear! I've found a wrist band supplier but for £20 and £10 for updates it's a little steep. Hopefully you could do it for less. |

I have a OneLifeID band and with one of my kids being a flight risk, we got the three of them wrist bands with both of our phone number engraved. |
