Nice one, would be keen hear what jig he used and to what success. Cause there are some fairly cost effective jigs. But everyone swears by the Park Tools 2 which is £233 alone. I been looking at this http://www.rushcycles.co.uk/products.ph ... 08s292p812 |

I've built many a wheel in my time and have never used a jig at home. I found with back wheels esier to true in the frame as you can get the dishing right first time. Just get a really good spoke key!! |

/\ What he said. I built all my wheels years ago and never used a jig. I use a set of forks and an old set of v's. |

I have a cheaper version than yours mate with a dishing tool. The name of the game is patience if you are a beginner like me. Nearly 3years now and they are fine. I also have a spoke tensioner you can use, forget all that listening to a sound stuff , thats all well and good if you are experienced.. Im off to work now but I will dig out stuff tomorrow and get in touch. If you dont want to buy a jig you are welcome to use mine. |
