Ebay have recently changed their policy on charging for postage, which is weird and you have to adapt your prices to compensate for this ! I haven't recently set up a store although I have downloaded the contents of 1000's for work.... |

Why had you downloaded 1000's for work? |

I often review the content of stores for work... The postage thing is very annoying as it doesn't reflect actual costs. I helped a mate set up a store a while back and it was not worth the fees unless you are selling mad volume |

Yeh, mad volume isn't something I will be doing anytime soon! My plan is/was to use it as a stepping stone into the market to gain some market share and drive business to my existing website.....eventually. Thanks for the feeback |

Seems lots of people complain about the stores and you have to keep up a certain % of positive reviews and the 5 star review thingie or Ebay get stroppy. Still guess people use it ok, pity there are not many alternatives. I'm not a fan of Ebay and especially Paypal but its hard to do without them. |

Yeh it's a vicious circle. eBay has monopoly and no competition, so they can do what they like. Building commerce into my site is going to cost the better part of £500. So ebay is a logical consideration initially. But after looking into it more I may have to go ecommerce and work on SEO instead. May be slower but I hate to feed the beast |
