I bet. getting there and back must be a nightmare to arrange knowing that A and B are 200miles apart. |

Ian, having sampled some of the trails the Peak District has to offer, Wish you a very good luck on the ride, and get yourself loads of padding and cream... Take it your doing this on the single speed death machine you have now When do you plan on walking straight again |

So here's a little breakdown of the Crudcatcher Coast 2 Coast challenge in numbers..... 203.9 miles ridden 21991 feet ascended 25.35 hours total in the saddle 7.97 miles per hour average moving speed 85 bottles of Lucozade drank 5 punctures (6 including the support van) 4 broken spokes (all Gaz) 0.26 miles average distance from bike shop when he broke them 9 minutes average time before shop closed he broke them 3 falls 67 cuts from pedal pins 2.5 meals per night eaten by Steve 182 Malteser bunnies eaten 1 sheep rescued from fence 147g of sugar per each of Adam's flapjacks 11381 feet of climbing in Yorkshire 0 feet of climbing in Yorkshire according to Alex prior to event 2 times Gaz's family mistook Ian for him in photos 5 total miles extra walked for takeaway 1 hotel Alex booked into as Will McKenzie 2000+ pounds raised for Cyclists Fighting Cancer |

I put the stats up earlier and there are 100's more photos and video's. All i can say is we reached our target and had some fun, we worked extremely hard and kept each other going with banter and encouragement. Would i do it again? Something similar definitely, Would i reccommend it to others Of course, you get to ride places and see things you just dont see down in the south east. For the record its 4 days after i got back, I'm still really tired and my legs are still heavy. No riding this week but i'll never complain about climbing in Langdon, Danbury or even in the surrey hills, as they are flat in comparison. |
