Bit of a cheek posting on a MTB forum so await the grief thats likely to rain down

im sure one or two are closet roadies

Im spending less time off road and more time rideing roads and paths so am looking at a potential CX or road bike,
are there any good shops close to Hornchurch, id like to find a shop that will sell me what i need, not what they want me to buy and have a good service section.

I will give you abuse afterwards...

There is yellow jersey in billericay, momentum cycles in Brentwood, chelmer cycles in Chelmsford, grips in Rayleigh and jd cycles in benfleet. I 'm not a road rider so have that usd them but they are the ones I know of. Depends what you want and need and how much to spend. There is of course Evans in Thurrock and Chelmsford and the speshilized shop in Chelmsford if you wanted the bigger shops

Momentum & Chelmer would be my suggestion. And as I hate Chelmer I'd really only go to Momentum...

Plus to be fair the two in Momentum are ardent roadies so probably not a bad shout.

Cheers fellas

Found yellow jerseys - didnt know they were there. I knew momentum as trax which was MTB focused. Specialised shop is ok if you want a spesh, and as for Evans.......

Will take a trip over to both

cheers

I'd recommend Momentum as well, worked on both my Road & MTB.
