Hey all, Need a little help here I'm after an good all rounder full sus, gonna be doing a bit of DH, Freeride and a little XC now and then. I was looking at the Cube Stereo Pro but can't find anyone who has got one is stock. My budget is £1800 tops. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. |

New Saracen Ariel has good reviews. £1000 for frame only, though. |

Gotta say - the more I use my Nomad - the more it is coming through in the freeride and DH side of things - been around for a while and should be going at a good price. Regardless I would recommend getting a frame that lets you swap between an air or coil shock. ALso think about what kind of freeride - a lot of 6" bikes (which I think is around where you are looking at) are built for enduro and built lightish which is find for Danbury / aston hill etc - but 50/50 some serious gaps and you will be kippered! |

Just seen this too - looks like it could handle most UK DH and a bit of XC but haven't seen any review of this one so it might be on sale coz its rubbish! http://www.freeborn.co.uk/devinci-2010-hectik-3 |

It's an American Brand I think, for reviews check MTBR.com, usually find loads. But I don't think it's rubbish! |

Thanks all, I managed to get me a kona stinky 6 from eBay, saved me a fortune however I'm not overly impressed with the brakes. Suppose I'll have to try it out at danbury this weekend. |

Swap the brakes over from the stuff? might want to think about upgrading the rotors at some point though, 160s wont be that good go for a 200 up front if the fork can take it, and a 180 on the back |

Maybe the brakes need a bleed or new pad and/or rotors? |

I wouldnt buy a 2nd hand bike and assume the brakes were ok, Id almost certainly give them a full rebuild, new pads, bleed and perhaps hoses too - all pretty cheap. Certainly see a lot of Kona Stinky's going cheap on Ebay and Pink Bike, Ive often thought Id start with a frame if I wanted to do a very cheap DH bike build Andy |
