The misses is now getting back in to bikes after having our kids.
Her old Spesh is just not right for her now.
What GOOD shops are there around here that she could try some bikes out so we can get the fit right?
I dont mind a bit of drive the right bike.

Cheers

Thomas revolution in colchester is pretty good, and i cant remember the name of the one i used to use in ipswich. but they were a scott dealer with plenty of selection.

Either Chelmer Cycles who are awesome, or blood sweat and gears at Danbury.

What Spesh has she got now?
No help for you shop wise but I just bought a Spesh Myka Elite 2011 model hardtail for missus and its a great little bike, similar spec to my Rockhopper. Took a chance on sizing as ordered on the internet but its spot on (ignored Specialized size guide btw and went a size smaller after checking the dimensions and reading some forum posts on that model).
Boardman do a Fi (female specific) version of the MTB Comp HT for similar money which was another contender.

Shes got a FSR with LX on it. shes 5'7" so got a medium and was happy on it. but getting back on it now it's causing neck pains so need to sit up more.
She's boarder line Med / Sml on frame sizing so recon a small will help out.
Well wil are off most of next week so get to drive round lots of bike shops and see what we can find.

Go small and get a laid back / offset seat post, all women will tell you every inch counts.....

Try a shorter stem and high rise 40mm handlbars. cheaper than a whole bike!

Its all ready got that.

I meassured the heaftube and it's only 100mm  The current ladies myka is 130mm
Thats quite a bit lower, more than can be corrected with just stems and bars.
Both off tomorrow so going for a ride and visit some shops and see what we think
