Hi all looking to get into some xc riding around Essex. just got myself a Specialized Camber Elite Mountain Bike 2012.
pretty new to the xc scene so am a mega beginner.
i'm based in Plymouth as i'm in the military there but come down to Southend loads so be good to get out and about in Essex countryside. also if anyone know of anyone that does this in Dartmoor in Devon.
I'm free right up and till mid Jan.

Hmm.. The Peanut Butter M&Ms didn't last long with you lot with me ;)
Hopefully have somebody come over soon from our Atlanta office so fingers crossed we get re-stocked.

Welcome Dude! As above, Grips ride is good on a Tuesday night but be prepared is a quickish pace and a tough plod but fun too in the dark :)
I also do the same route quite often in daytime on a Sunday morning if I'm not elsewhere at Danbury / Thorndon etc..

You're more than welcome to join us any time we're out.

Only if I've kicked this manflu :(

Wiped out all weekend, only gradually re-surfacing. Itching to get out again but need to be fighting fit :)

But rest assured, if I'm recovered then I'll definitely be out and you guys will be invited if you fancy it...

I ride Dartmoor very occaisionally when I visit the inlaws. You should also try Haldon Forest just off the A38, it has purpose built trails for all abilities and is quite easy to get to from Plymouth.
