I'm moving to Colchester in September while my girlfriend goes back to university for two years. I love Downhill Biking and XC biking. I'm wondering where the closest places are to colchester that do uplift service. Its good to see a big community here. I'll be posting for some rides when I move down.

Closest uplift is ukbikepark or Forest of Dean. You've moved to the flattest part of the country!
Aston is a 10-15min push up and about 90mins from you as is Chicksands and Woburn

Should be plenty to amuse you.

If you like dh and xc then danbury is good mix of both that can be ridden on any bike you want and only 20 mins away, plenty there to keep you entertained for a while.

Thanks for tips,
Can't wait to check out some of the rides. I've a got a dh and am bike so I'm up for riding both. Looks like some fun jumps in danbury. I'll be out riding there in september.

Well keep an eye on the calender for the bigger rides or just head down danbury there is always someone knocking about
