Hey everyone. My name is Dan and I am looking to get in to mountain biking. I have always loved watching mountain bike videos and films on youtube and have now decided I want to give it a go. I live in Essex (Billericay to be exact) and have a car so i can get around easily. I am looking for advice on some easy trails to start on that are close to me, apparently Thonrdon is quite a good place to start. Is this true? I use to cycle to work before i started working in the City last summer. Therefore i have a very average mountain bike from Halfords (embarrassing i know) but i hope it is good enough for me just to learn the basics on and then in the future i can look to buy a proper bike when i am at abit better. Also, how do the group rides work, is it just sign up and turn up, or is there kind of skill levels that need to be met before you can join? Thanks for the help in advance! Dan |
