Hi All,

I've just tied to find singletrack in Epping Forest today but couldn't find it. It was muddy, however, I enjoyed it since this is my first time to mountainbiking! It would have been greatful if skilled person was together! I hope someday joining to biking with guys in this forum.

I'm really new to biking. I bought Specialized Rockopper Comp 29 to do off-road triathlon (I've never done).

My next plan is taking coaching session in Holmbury Hill (2 days session for biginner), is it worth taking?

Anyway see you soon in trail.

Regards,
Hayato

Welcome along to the forum. First off, coaching is well worth doing but I would say it is probably worth getting out as much as possible to get some fitness (as you are new to riding). The main reason I say this is it is hard to ride fast/correctly to the new skills that you have been taught if you have not got the fitness to wrestle and manure the bike over the whole ride. Riding on tow paths/cycle paths is completely different to off road trail ridding.

Hi Mattvanders,

Thank you for your advice. I'll do commute riding to get fit and join outing.

I live in North Finchley, then Epping and Broxbourne seems to be the closest to ride off-road.

Hayato
