Hi All,

I recently got back on the bike after a few years away, stumbled across your forum and see it has some good input so rather than just browsing have joined up!

Hope to contribute soon.

Great question, I let quite a lot of my kit go a couple of years back regrettably so am in the market for something new. My son just started riding and I bought a SS 29er that rekindled the love so have been thrashing that around areas like Warley and Thorndon quite a lot lately (well thrashing as much as fitness has allowed).

I have been looking at the new style trail bikes that are on the market, things have changed a little whilst I was away   so thinking a 1x10 / 1x11 with 140-160mm travel machine is what I want as an all purpose trail machine so I can head out to some of the big trails. Already replanning summer holidays and think a trip up to Wales is on the cards as that used to be my favorite weekend camping with the bikes.

Nothing better to be honest, I used to go all the time and now I am back can't be sure why I ever gave it a rest!

A little work on the fitness and some new wheels and I am off again! Now time to pack the landy with the camping kit, beers and bikes at get exploring
