Hi,

Recently got in to MTB's after hiring one out on a Stag-do earlier in the year and loving it, I have been abusing the Specialized shops 'ride before you buy' policy for several months trying out Hadleigh and Danbury over the summer.

Finally bought a bike after agreeing that an equal amount of money would be set aside for my wife to spend on what ever she fancies....people warned me that it was an expensive hobby but now I have a 100% tax to deal with on top!

Some of you may have seen me around Danbury on a bright green Stumpjumper, after not having a bike for 15 years i'm still getting over just how good a decent full suspension bike rolls down a hill.

The aim for this year is to get better without breaking anything serious...

Welcome along, sounds like it's going to be extra expensive hobby if you got to spend equal amounts on the misses, thats why everything only cost £15 ;)

Stealth parts are always the best option.

A hobby is not a proper hobby if there isn't the option of spending money on shiny things!

Ideally green would not have been the first choice...but the bike was good....at least it'll make it easier to find the parts in the bushes/mud when i stack it!

I'll probably be in Danbury on Friday night.

If the wife's ask everything on the bike is what it came with when brought out the shop ;) ;)

Its when your other half has a hobby involving horses, then you know what expensive means :? :?
