Hi all, I got into MTB this summer thanks to an enthusiastic friend and am determined not to drop it just because I go to uni in a big flat city, so here I am looking for some routes/rides near London for someone who is slowly improving? So far I've been riding in mid Wales (Nant yr Arian and Brechfa - if anyone has ventured that far into the hills) just to give an idea of what I'm used to... I'm not spectacularly speedy but I'm willing to have a go at most things & desperate to get better! Thanks Mari (I ride a hardtail 29er much to my 26er friend's despair) |

I ended up buying a rockhopper 29 (idk if thats anybgood being a newbie but it was just about in my student budget and has taken me over everything i've wanted so far...) I've only been to Brechfa once this summer but Nant is my local at home so I go up there regularly anywhere you'd recommend I can get to by rail near London/ more importantly anywhere I shouldn't go to alone?.... safety first etc :') |

Welcome. London is a big place so it really depends where you are as to what is closest to you. Best to click on the MTB trails at the top for a map of whats nearest you. |
