Hi, Can anyone recommend places to go for my son to ride his BMX in Essex/Herts. He's new to it & just coming up to 11.

Also, it'd be great to go somewhere local over half term for some stunt lessons....Velo Park is so far to go :-(

Thanks!

There is a BMX/skate park in brentwood (ST Georges park), not a large area but with big bowls. Where are you based?

Braintree has 3 place. 1: Braintree BMX track, a proper national level track but they do training for kids. 2: ramps in the middle of town and 3: bowl off coldnailhurst avenue.

Braintreebmx.com for more info. There is also a private, but very good track at Codham park just outside Braintree. I think you might need to be a club member to ride that though (although some of us have ridden it on MTBs as it was one of the Mud Sweat and Gears race venues a few years ago).

Bought my son an x rated quarter from Halfords as his first bmx...he reckons he needs pegs to start basic stunts. Thoughts pls...

Think there is a indoor track in Hemel Hempstead if you are over that way
