Hi, I moved to London a few years ago from Hampshire and I'm missing my mountain bike rides. I've got more into running, but let's face it running is just not as fun as mountain biking! last year I went to Morzine for the first time & also was lucky enough to go to the atlas mountains. I enjoy all the trail centres in Wales too and the cake stops (maybe more). I'd like to improve my riding (I'm not confident jumping) and just hang out with like minded people! Mark |

From one newbie to another, welcome welcome welcome! Running sucks but I do it when it's blowing a gale (riding sucks even more in the wind). Cake rules, regardless of the weather! Hope to catch up with you on a ride some time soon. |

Running sucks - bacon or cake rule Welcome, depending on where you are in London you've got a fair few options - if you are East then you've the Warley/Thorndon/Brentwood or the Chelmsford and Danbury Guys - they'll be along shortly. Central/North then there's always something going on over Epping Forrest (though no real jumps...) South London and you get into Surrey Hills, Bedgeburyand so on. West London and you've got Swinley. So question is where abouts in London are you? Somebody for each of the above areas will pipe up soon as well lol |

Welcome. As mentioned, plenty of places to ride depending where you are. What bike do you ride? |

Thanks for the warm welcome and replies! I'm in East London near Canary Wharf. I'm riding a lapierre 514 from 2010, does the job still although I was a little bit tempted with the YT industries enduro range |

Welcome (I'm new here too). Also a Hampshire boy (Winchester) who moved to London a few years ago and miss the hills! I bought a YT Capra 2 weeks ago and am yet to ride the damned thing since I broke my finger but will be looking to get out on it very soon. I'm east London (near Romford) so tend to ride around Thorndon/Warley/Epping but looking to explore more! |
