Back from a somewhat wet & slippy Woburn session with Whyteboy and Tranny Weather went damp to wet, then a bit wetter before having a bit of sun for the last 30 minutes or so - think it will be far better conditions wise tomorrow - so most of the trails were running a fair bit slower than last time I was there a couple of weeks back and definitely appreciated running mud tyres As seems to be the way there was a few mods and changes - e.g. the penultimate jump on M7 - into the bomb hole - is now more like a step up. The old path gap / new path gap / hip line were all running nice and there's a cool new alpine bermy line that's been put in on that side M7 was running ok - bit loose below the step down Transfer line all good - needed bit more commitment in the corners to adjust for the mud Skyline top section was running slow so avoided the first two gaps but rest was running nice Path gap to the tranny knacker cracker was fine Sized up the big gap with a couple of runs in from the step down - but wasn't feeling it in the slower wet conditions so remains on the 'to do' list - think I've got my head around it though and the following one Alpine stuff out the back was v.loamy and fun once I managed to remember the line Good consolidation rather than progression session for me - despite having my first proper stack in about 2 years towards the bottom of transfer line (lack of speed / pump on one of gaps caused by inability to see - goggle fogging was a nightmare this afternoon) - now have a bad dead leg on RH side Already thinking about a return next week Enjoy tomorrow - definitely looks like it will be the better day!!! |

Good ride today, super sloppy in places but as Adam said should be good for tomorrow. Was nice to get out on the new bike and be hitting all the same stuff, good news is the froggy seems to be capable of going up hills and crashing down them too! Very stable on jumps but more willing to go flying. Good to meet you James, See you all out soon. T |
